Job summary

Solutions Architect (Azure, Document Management and Integration)

Company and role: My client is seeking a solutions architect to join their team on a permanent basis. You will work alongside a well-established, experienced enterprise architect in their growing architecture team, working predominantly on back-office solutions and enabling back-office personnel.

Duties for the role include, but are not limited to:

• End-to-end design and architecture of digital solutions in the Azure stack, with a heavy focus on integration
• Develop a strong understanding of architecture and architecture principles
• Setting architectural direction, and leading the development of architectural governance processes
• Reducing organisational delivery risk and technical debt
• Ensure solutions comply with security requirements
• Ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and government standards
• Participation and leadership of workshops
• Ad-hoc duties

The ideal candidate will have experience/a background in the following:

• Experience in the Azure stack required
• Document management solution experience required (SharePoint experience particularly desirable)
• Integration architecture experience required, including understanding of modern architecture tooling in Azure
• Knowledge of architectural frameworks required
• Proven architectural experience in a similar role/s required
• Experience working in digital-first organisation/s required
• Ability to work closely with senior business stakeholders required
• Experience working in a professional services environment highly advantageous
• Experience working in a small team and/or small to mid-sized organisations highly advantageous
• A mixture of public and private-sector experience preferred
• Some exposure to AI and AI tooling preferred
• Relevant bachelor’s degree and certifications advantageous

NB: This organisation works in a hybrid way. The candidate must be willing to come into the office in the Wellington CBD at least three times a week.
