Job summary

Momentum Consulting in Auckland is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect for a 6-month contract, hybrid work arrangement. You will own day-to-day solution architecture across interconnected enterprise systems, supporting engineering leads while guiding architectural decisions and delivery.

You'll work across Azure, Java backend, and React frontend environments, designing robust integration approaches and simplifying legacy logic, balancing immediate delivery with long-term technical debt

Solutions Architect | Contract (6months) | Auckland (Hybrid)
We’re looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join a complex technology environment, working closely with engineering leadership and senior technical teams.

This is a hands-on architecture role suited to someone who is pragmatic, comfortable working in ambiguity, and able to simplify complex technical problems while keeping delivery moving.

About the role

You’ll take ownership of day-to-day solution architecture across a range of interconnected systems, providing support to engineering leadership and Lead Engineers while helping ensure technical decisions, integrations and delivery remain on track.Your responsibilities will include:

About you

You’ll be an experienced Solutions Architect who is comfortable getting into the detail and working closely with engineering teams. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Strong Solutions Architecture experience across complex, interconnected systems.
• Experience with Java backend architectures.
• Experience working with React-based frontend applications.
• Strong API, systems integration and integration architecture experience.
• Experience integrating modern platforms with established core or legacy systems; and the ability to understand and unpick complex legacy business logic.

• Solid Microsoft Azure architecture experience.
• Experience with Java backend architectures.
• Experience working with React-based frontend applications.
• Strong API, systems integration and integration architecture experience.
