Ever walked through at a warehouse and thought… "There's a smarter way to do this"?
So have we.
At Automate-X, we spend our days helping businesses rethink the way their warehouses operate, using robotics, intelligent software and world-class automation technology to solve real operational challenges.
As demand for our solutions continues to grow, we're looking for a Solution Engineer to join our team here in Auckland and be part of this success story.
This isn't a role where you'll simply produce drawings or tick boxes.
You'll work with the internal team to understand customer requirements, how they operate, analyse workflows and data, challenge conventional thinking and design automation solutions that genuinely improve productivity. And then, with the team, present your solution directly to the customer.
One day you could be designing an AMR solution for a distribution centre. The next, you'll be developing a goods-to-person concept, working with global technology partners or presenting a solution that could completely transform a customer's operation.
If you enjoy solving problems, asking "what if?" and turning ideas into engineered solutions, you'll likely love this role.
We're looking for someone who has this type of experience:
3 years + as an Automation Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Application Engineer, or similar
Experience in warehouse automation, intralogistics or industrial automation, including AMRs, AGVs, robotics, conveyors or material handling systems
Knowledge of WES/WCS platforms and automation integration
AutoCAD capability and strong analytical problem-solving skills
Experience translating customer requirements into practical material flow, throughput and capacity solutions
The experience to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and technical specifications
A collaborative mindset, working with customers, global technology partners and fellow engineers, to deliver innovative automation solutions you can be proud of
Because we're not standing still. We're on an exciting growth trajectory.
We're one of Australasia's fastest-growing warehouse automation businesses, delivering key solutions across New Zealand and Australia.
You'll have the opportunity to work with leading global automation technologies, collaborate with an experienced and supportive team, and help shape projects from the very first customer conversation through to successful delivery. With clients across New Zealand and Australia, the role also offers opportunities to travel.
If you're looking for a role where you'll continue to learn, be trusted with meaningful work, and have a genuine impact on the future of warehouse automation—we'd love to hear from you.
Please note: Due to the immediate nature of this opportunity, applicants must already have unrestricted working rights in New Zealand. The ability to work in Australia is highly regarded, as we support projects across both countries.
We know applying for a new role takes time and thought, so we genuinely appreciate the effort you put into your application.
