Eight360, a Wellington-based VR startup, is seeking a software engineer to design, develop and support software for the NOVA platform within the Eight360 software development team.
The role requires strong modern C++ and Python skills, experience with embedded devices (AVR, ESP32, Raspberry Pi), and solid Linux knowledge. You will write clear technical documentation, conduct unit tests, and collaborate closely with teammates in a fast-moving environment, helping push the platform forward.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in modern C++ and proficiency in Python, with experience with embedded systems, firmware development and/or systems programming. Good systematic problem-solving, debugging, and clear technical writing skills will be necessary. Strong communication skills and familiarity with Linux are also important.
