Job summary

Eight360, a Wellington-based VR startup, is seeking a software engineer to design, develop and support software for the NOVA platform within the Eight360 software development team.

The role requires strong modern C++ and Python skills, experience with embedded devices (AVR, ESP32, Raspberry Pi), and solid Linux knowledge. You will write clear technical documentation, conduct unit tests, and collaborate closely with teammates in a fast-moving environment, helping push the platform forward.

Qualifications

• Strong background in modern C++ and Python.
• Experience with embedded systems, firmware development, or systems programming.
• Good problem-solving, debugging, and strong technical writing.
• Familiarity with Linux and version control (Git).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support software for the NOVA platform within the Eight360 software development team.
• Develop and maintain software applications using modern C++ and Python.
