Rockit Recruitment is assisting a Wellington-based technology company to hire a capable Full Stack Developer. You will work across the full lifecycle of software, from requirements analysis to feature delivery, bug fixes and platform improvements.
You'll collaborate with testers, product owners and other specialists, applying Test-Driven Development and automated testing. The role is based in Wellington with a hybrid schedule: three days in the office and two from home.

As a Full Stack Developer, you'll work across the full lifecycle of their software, from analysing requirements and designing solutions through to building new features, fixing bugs and improving the platform they've grown over the years. The work spans both the user-facing and technical sides, and covers new development as well as maintaining and improving established code. You'll work closely with Testers, Product Owners and other specialists in an environment where quality and craft matter, with Test-Driven Development and layered automated testing built into how the team works.

We're looking for a developer who writes clean, maintainable code, enjoys solving complex problems, and takes pride in doing things well. You'll be comfortable reviewing others' work and offering guidance, giving and receiving honest feedback, and keeping your own skills current. Solid full stack experience and a strong grounding in good coding practice will set you up well.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Wellington. The team works a hybrid arrangement of three days in the office and two from home, and puts real effort into its culture, with catered team lunches, a regular company get-together over refreshments, a social club and sports teams, and dedicated time and budget for training and development.
To be considered, you'll be based in Wellington and have the unrestricted right to work in New Zealand. New Zealand commercial software experience is a strong advantage.
