Job summary

Hawk Eye Plastering in Whakatane, Bay of Plenty, is seeking an Experienced Plasterer & Painter to join on a casual basis. You will deliver high-quality interior and exterior finishes on a variety of residential and commercial projects across the Whakatane region.

This role offers flexible days and the potential for a more permanent position for the right applicant. You’ll work with a reputable local company that values craftsmanship, safety, and reliable collaboration with builders and clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plastering and painting, spanning several years.
• Expertise in interior and exterior finishing techniques.
• Knowledge of plaster types, paint products and surface prep methods.
• Strong communication and reliability; able to work with builders and clients.

Responsibilities

• Work on a range of projects, from new builds to renovations and repairs.
• Perform interior plastering and stopping to Level 5 finishes.
• Do skim coating, patching, gib stopping and repair work.
• Prepare surfaces and deliver high-quality finishes.
• Work independently from start to finish when required.
• Follow plans and job specs; liaise with builders and clients.
• Involve minor painting and finishing work as needed.
• Keep sites tidy and on schedule.
