Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment is assisting a leading infrastructure contractor with a major water treatment plant upgrade in the Wellington region. We are seeking a Site Engineer with hands-on experience in water treatment or wastewater projects, focusing on installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment such as pumps and valves on site.

Ideal candidates have 2–3+ years on-site, a Mechanical or Civil engineering qualification, and strong communication and organisation skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in water treatment, wastewater, or similar infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on installation and commissioning experience with mechanical equipment.
• 2–3+ years on-site experience.
• Mechanical or Civil engineering qualification.
• Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage construction activities on site.
• Support project delivery, planning, quality, and safety.
• Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
