Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Site Engineer for our construction client in Queenstown. You will oversee day-to-day technical operations on-site, translating designs into build reality and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include supervising construction activities, interpreting drawings, enforcing health and safety, maintaining site records, and supporting the project manager to drive successful project outcomes in diverse

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 3+ years of experience in site supervision or similar construction role.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and codes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.
• Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills to manage on-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all technical aspects of construction projects on-site, ensuring adherence to drawings and specs.
• Plan daily construction activities, coordinating labor, plant, and materials.
• Enforce health and safety protocols on site and conduct toolbox talks.
• Monitor progress, identify issues or delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct quality checks and maintain accurate site records and reports.
