Placements24 seeks an experienced Senior Site Engineer to lead on-site technical operations for projects in Queenstown. You will provide essential technical guidance, supervise engineering staff and trades, and act as a key liaison between the design team and the construction crew.

The role offers a significant opportunity to influence infrastructure development in New Zealand. The position requires a Civil Engineering degree, Pr.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) designation or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of site engineering or construction supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and site management practices.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering plans and specs.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage on-site engineering activities per designs and schedules.
• Provide technical guidance to site team including foremen and trades.
• Ensure health and safety regulations and policies are followed.
• Conduct quality control inspections and testing to meet standards.
• Manage procurement and inventory of materials and equipment on site.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and project docs accurately.
