Job summary

Canstaff in Christchurch, New Zealand is seeking a Site-Based Diesel Mechanic for a hands-on field service role across mid to heavy earthmoving equipment including diggers, rollers, bulldozers, skid steers, trucks and forklifts.

You will be responsible for servicing, diagnostics, breakdowns and repairs on-site, so the ability to work independently and troubleshoot efficiently is essential. The role offers a permanent full-time position with a company vehicle and tools provided.

Qualifications

• Strong diesel mechanical background.
• Experience with earthmoving/heavy equipment.
• Confident with diagnostics and repairs.
• Reliable, motivated and able to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

We are currently searching for a Site-Based Diesel Mechanic to join a well-established operation.

This is a hands-on field service role working across a variety of mid to heavy earthmoving equipment including diggers, rollers, bulldozers, skid steers, trucks, and forklifts.

You will be responsible for servicing, diagnostics, breakdowns, and repairs on-site, so the ability to work independently and troubleshoot efficiently is essential.
