Fletcher Building Limited is seeking a friendly and driven Trade Counter and Showroom team member in Napier. You will interact daily with customers, process sales, merchandise shelves, and support both in-store promotions and product knowledge.

You will build lasting relationships, handle returns or repairs, and help maintain inventory accuracy while delivering excellent service in a busy trade counter environment.

• Experience in customer service or retail sales.

• Computer knowledge and numeracy skills.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain effective relationships with customers by offering product support and technical information.
• Process sales at the Trade Counter.
• Grow sales within the department through proactive service and suggestions.
• Merchandise and run in-store promotions.
• Assist customers with returns or repairs.
• Monitor inventory and perform cycle counts.

As the first point of contact at our Trade Counter and Showroom, you will interact daily with our customers who are the heart and soul of our business.

Daily you will be responsible for –

• Building and maintaining effective relationships with them by being solutions focused, offering product support and technical information.
• Process sales at our Trade Counter
• Play an integral part of growing sales within this department
• Merchandising and run instore promotions
• Assist customer with any returns or repairs
• Monitoring inventory and cycle counts.

This is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours a week. Working Monday to Friday + Rostered Saturdays based in Napier

About you

You will play an important role in capturing sales opportunities across the showroom therefore your passion for creating long-lasting customer relationships is an absolute must!

• Proven experience in a customer service and/or retail sales environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with people from all ages and backgrounds.
• Motivated, self-driven and able to work independently.
• Computer and numeracy knowledge
• Great attention to detail and be organised.
• Strong sales focus and ability to build rapport quickly.
