Job summary

FIRST Security in Wellington is seeking a capable Field Service Shift Supervisor to lead a team of Electronic Monitoring Field Officers and Static guards on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll oversee fieldwork, training, and incident response across the Wellington region, operating on a four-days-on, four-days-off roster with two day shifts followed by two night shifts.

This role requires leadership, service excellence, and tight safety practices.

Qualifications

• COA license or ability to obtain one.
• Full NZ Driver’s Licence.
• Pass Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions check.
• Excellent people and listening skills.
• Ability to work on a four-days-on, four-days-off roster.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and motivate your team.
• Maintain and service ATMs.
• Monitor ADT medical alarms.
• Ensure electronic monitoring equipment is installed and operating.
• Attend courts, prisons and residential locations for installations and callouts.
• Monitor client properties and respond to alarm activations.
• Coordinate patrols and general field-service callouts.
• Make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

About the role:

We’re looking for a capable and people-focused Field Service Shift Supervisor to join our Wellington team in a permanent, full-time position.

You’ll lead a team of Electronic Monitoring Field Officers and Static guards, ensuring they have the skills, tools and support needed to succeed. This is a varied, fast-paced role involving fieldwork, team leadership and responding to incidents across the Wellington region.

The role operates on a four-days-on, four-days-off roster, consisting of two day shifts followed by two night shifts.

Duties:

• Leading, supporting and motivating your team


• Maintaining and servicing ATMs


• Monitoring ADT medical alarms


• Ensuring electronic monitoring equipment is correctly installed and operating effectively


• Attending courts, prisons and residential locations to complete installations and callouts


• Monitoring client properties and responding to alarm activations


• Coordinating patrols and general field-service callouts


• Making sound decisions in challenging or high-pressure situations


• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
