Job summary

FIRST Security, part of the Wilson Group, is seeking reliable Security Guards to join our Dunedin team. This role offers flexible, rotational shifts across Monday to Sunday, with opportunities to grow within our trusted security network.

You will provide a strong security presence, deliver excellent customer service, monitor incidents, conduct patrols, and follow health and safety procedures. The position starts at NZ$24 per hour with minimum 28 hours per week and wellbeing support from our team.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to adapt to a rotating shift schedule.
• Willingness to work across a range of days and hours.

About the Role

Duties:

• Providing a strong security presence to ensure safety on site
• Delivering excellent customer service and communication
• Monitoring and responding to incidents as required
• Conducting patrols and maintaining site security
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

What you’ll need:

• Be 18 years or older
• A clean criminal record
• Be flexible and available to work across a range of days
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• NZ/Australian citizenship or a valid NZ work visa
• A current COA is preferred but not essential — we can help you obtain one
