Job summary

Lakeside Stainless Ltd in Queenstown is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. We welcome applicants with hands-on fabrication and welding experience and a willingness to develop further skills.

If you have a positive attitude and a foundation in fabrication, we’d like to hear from you. Key duties include TIG and MIG welding, working with stainless steel, aluminium, and other metals, and reading fabrication drawings.

Qualifications

• Fabrication and welding experience essential.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• NZ driver’s licence must be valid.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• TIG and MIG welding to a high standard.
• Fabrication using stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, brass and copper.
• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings.
• Workshop fabrication, assembly and finishing.
• Using a range of fabrication tools and equipment.

We’re looking for a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our Queenstown team. Previous hands-on fabrication and welding experience is essential, however we’re open to different levels of experience. If you have a good foundation in fabrication, a great attitude, and are keen to continue developing your skills, we’d like to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

• TIG and MIG welding to a high standard
• Fabrication using stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, brass and copper
• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
• Workshop fabrication, assembly and finishing
• Using a range of fabrication tools and equipment
• On-site installations
• Maintaining a safe, organised and professional work environment

About you

• Fabrication and welding experience
• TIG and MIG welding skills
• Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium (brass and copper experience is an advantage)
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full New Zealand driver's licence
