Job summary

AB Equipment in Invercargill is looking for a skilled Service Technician / Mechanic to diagnose, service and repair a wide range of machinery. You’ll work independently in the field and in our modern workshop, delivering high-quality customer support.

We offer competitive hourly rates, a company service vehicle, tool allowance, two fuel cards, ongoing training, medical and life insurance, and accumulated sick leave. Endorsements F, W, T, R are preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified technician with mechanical and automotive electrical experience.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communication and organisational skills; ability to work independently.
• Full driver’s licence; endorsements F, W, T, R preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of machinery and equipment.
• Provide timely and high-quality support to customers on-site and in the workshop.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and airside procedures when working at airport.
• Maintain clear documentation and service records.
