Job summary

Drummond and Etheridge in Oamaru is seeking an experienced Service Technician to join the team. You will service a wide range of Ag equipment, construction, forestry, and Golf & Turf machinery while delivering excellent customer service to clients across the region.

The role requires diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and installation with a focus on reliability and timely service. A team player who can also work independently will thrive in this position, which includes travel to customer

Qualifications

• Experience in service work on a broad range of Agricultural equipment and machinery.
• Qualifications in Diesel / Heavy Machinery Servicing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to work well within a team and independently.
• A knack for problem-solving and persistence to deliver for our customers.

Responsibilities

• You’ll turn your hand to a range of Ag equipment as well as Construction, Forestry and Golf & Turf machinery, ensuring exceptional customer service in the region.

We’re looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our tight-knit team in our Oamaru branch. You’ll turn your hand to a range of Ag equipment as well as Construction, Forestry and Golf & Turf machinery, all while providing exceptional customer service to our clients in the region.

About You

You’re an enthusiastic Tech with strong experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of machinery.

Ideally you’ll have:

• Experience in service work on a broad range of Agricultural equipment and machinery;
• Qualifications in Diesel / Heavy Machinery Servicing;
• Excellent customer service and communication skills;
• The ability to work well within a team and independently;
• A knack for problem-solving and persistence to deliver for our customers.

Apart from your technical know-how and nous, we are looking for an exceptional individual who is a strong team player who can adapt to any situation. The role will see you travelling to customer locations around the region as needed.

Rates/Hours of work

Base hourly rates from: $30.00- $45.00, plus generous tool allowance and overtime.

Minimum of 40 hours per week.
