Job summary

McAlpine Hussmann Limited in New Plymouth is seeking a qualified RF/AC Service Technician or Electrician. You will service, maintain and install refrigeration and air conditioning systems, working with a supportive team to deliver first-class service on-site.

The role requires trade certification in refrigerations or electrical skills, a clean NZ driver’s license and strong communication with customers. NZ experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Health and Safety focused and safety-conscious on-site work.
• Trade Certificate in Refrigeration or Electrical Practising License is required.
• Current (clean) Driver's License is required.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Experience dealing with customers on site preferred.
• 5+ years NZ experience in refrigeration or air conditioning is preferred but not essential.
• Supermarket experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and installation work of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

We have a vacancy available in our New Plymouth branch for highly motivated and experienced RF or AC Service Technician or Electrician. Our team are involved with servicing, maintenance, and installation work of various types of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems.

We want someone who is an easy-going, and forward thinking who enjoys a fast-paced environment, working as part of a team to deliver first class service to our customers. Someone who is motivated to succeed with great communication skills that build lasting relationships.

The key skills required for this role include:

• Health and Safety focused

• Trade Certificate in Refrigeration or Electrical Practising License

• Current (clean) Driver's License

• Good communication & customer service skills

• Excellent written and spoken English

• Experience dealing with customers on site

• 5 years or more NZ experience in the Refrigeration or Air Conditioning industry (preferred but not essential)

• Supermarket experience (preferred but not essential)
