McAlpine Hussmann Limited in Dunedin is seeking a qualified RF Service Technician or Electrician to join our refrigeration team. The role covers servicing, maintenance, and installation of a range of refrigeration systems, working with the team to deliver first-class service to customers.

We value safety, clear communication, and a proactive attitude. NZ experience is preferred, with a trade certificate in refrigeration and an appropriate electrical license.

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate in Refrigeration
• Current NZ Electrician license or Electrical Service Technician Practising License
• Refrigerant Handlers License
• Excellent written and spoken English; strong communication skills
• 5+ years NZ Refrigeration/AC experience (preferred)
• Supermarket experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and installation work of refrigeration systems
• Work as part of a team to deliver first-class service to customers
• Interact with customers on site and ensure safety and compliance
• May require pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must have right to work in New Zealand

About the role:

We have a vacancy available in our Dunedin branch for highly motivated and experienced RF Service Technician or Electrician. Our Refrigeration team are involved with servicing, maintenance, and installation work of various types of Refrigeration systems.

We want someone who is an easy-going, and forward thinking who enjoys a fast-paced environment, working as part of a team to deliver first class service to our customers. Someone who is motivated to succeed with great communication skills that build lasting relationships.

The key skills required for this role include:

• Health and Safety focused
• Trade Certificate in Refrigeration
• Electrical Service Technician Practising License or Electrician License
• Refrigerant Handlers License
• Current (clean) Driver's License
• Good communication & customer service skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Experience dealing with customers on site
• 5 years or more NZ experience in the Refrigeration or Air Conditioning industry (preferred but not essential)
• Supermarket experience (preferred but not essential)
