Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an HVAC service technician to carry out routine servicing of HRV ventilation systems, including filter changes and system checks to ensure optimal performance for customers. The role is largely independent once trained, with the opportunity to earn additional commission through product and service recommendations.

You will also travel occasionally for out-of-town work, with overnight allowances provided, and join a supportive team in Hawke's Bay.

Qualifications

• Full NZ driver’s licence is essential.
• Physically fit and able to work in ceilings and tight spaces.
• Able to pass a police check and work independently or in a team.
• Willing to travel for out-of-town work with overnight allowance.

• Replace filters and perform routine inspections.
• Identify issues and provide clear customer recommendations.
• Represent the company professionally in customers' homes.

The role is largely independent once trained, so the ability to work confidently on your own is essential. You will also have the opportunity to earn additional commission through product and service recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Service and maintain HRV ventilation systems
• Replace filters and carry out routine system inspections
• Identify any issues and provide clear recommendations to customers
• Represent the company professionally in customers' homes
• Occasional overnight travel to Gisborne and Taupō (paid overnight allowance provided)

About you

• Full current New Zealand driver's licence (essential)
• Physically fit and able to work in ceilings, roof spaces and tight areas
• Able to pass a police check
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a supportive team
• Reliable, well-presented and customer-focused
• Previous experience in ventilation, HVAC, building services or a related trade is advantageous but not essential — full training will be provided
• Living wage + commission on sales
