Job summary

HRV Auckland Limited is seeking an experienced HVAC Installer in Auckland to professionally install, service and test HRV ventilation, heating and cooling systems in residential properties.

This hands-on, customer-facing role requires quality workmanship, safety and excellent service, with responsibilities spanning installation, testing, fault diagnosis and precise paperwork.

Qualifications

• 3 years HVAC/installing experience.
• Practical experience installing HVAC, air conditioning, ventilation, heat pump or related systems.
• Strong practical, technical and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to use installation tools and equipment safely.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install HRV ventilation, heating, cooling and related HVAC systems in residential properties.
• Test completed installations to ensure systems operate safely and correctly.
• Diagnose installation or system issues and perform remedial work.
• Prepare equipment, products and materials for scheduled installations.
• Complete installation documentation and customer paperwork accurately.
• Liaise with customers and HRV team, keep work areas clean.

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Installer to join our Auckland team.

About the role

As an HVAC Installer, you will be responsible for the professional installation, servicing and testing of HRV ventilation, heating and cooling systems in residential properties throughout Auckland.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where quality workmanship, safety and excellent customer service are essential.

Key duties

• Install HRV ventilation, heating, cooling and associated HVAC systems in residential properties.

• Install heat pumps, ducted systems and related equipment in accordance with technical specifications and company standards.

• Test completed installations to ensure systems are operating safely and correctly.

• Diagnose installation or system issues and complete appropriate servicing or remedial work.

• Prepare the required equipment, products and materials for scheduled installation work.

• Complete installation documentation, job records and required customer paperwork accurately.

• Liaise professionally with customers and HRV team members and ensure work areas are left clean and tidy following installation.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• 3 years HVAC/installing experience

• Practical experience installing HVAC, air conditioning, ventilation, heat pump or related systems.

• Strong practical, technical and fault-finding skills.

• The ability to use relevant installation tools and equipment safely.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

• A good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

• A full New Zealand driver's licence.

Relevant HVAC, refrigeration, electrical or building-services qualifications and registrations will be advantageous where applicable to the work undertaken.
