Job summary

Comfort Solutions is seeking a hands-on Preventive Maintenance Technician to service residential and commercial heat pumps across the Auckland region. You will perform routine servicing, diagnose faults, and maintain detailed service records, ensuring optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.

The role requires physical fitness, a good understanding of mechanical and electrical components, and the ability to work independently on-site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience servicing heat pumps or HVAC systems preferred.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components.
• Physically fit and comfortable working on ladders or in tight spaces.
• Detail-oriented with a high standard of workmanship.
• Friendly, respectful, and clear communicator on-site.
• Hold a full NZ driver's licence.
• NZ residency or valid work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on residential and commercial heat pump systems.
• Clean filters, indoor/outdoor coils, and fan components.
• Diagnose and report faults or potential issues.
• Recommend servicing or repairs when required.
• Record service details and maintain accurate notes.
• Communicate professionally with customers on-site.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work vehicles are well-maintained.
