About the role | Mō te tūnga

As a Service Manager, you’ll lead with purpose, creating a positive and accountable team culture where the people we support are respected, included and empowered to make choices about their own lives. You’ll support our mission to advocate for the rights, inclusion and welfare of people with intellectual disabilities and support them to live satisfying and meaningful lives within their communities.

You’ll coach and develop your team, oversee the delivery of quality support, respond confidently to changing needs, and build strong relationships with the people we support, their whānau and key partners. You’ll also have responsibility for service planning, staffing and scheduling, budgets, quality improvement, and creating a safe, well-run environment for your team and the people we support

This role covers services across the Wairarapa, from Featherston to Masterton. You’ll report to the Area Manager and work alongside other Service Managers and regional and national colleagues to deliver great outcomes for the people we support. This is an opportunity to bring your healthcare, disability or people-leadership experience to a role where how you lead matters just as much as what you deliver.

  • Confidence making thoughtful decisions and addressing challenges constructively.
  • Ability to deliver quality outcomes in a busy, changing environment.

  • Experience in healthcare, aged care, mental health, social services or another people-centred environment. Disability experience is not required.
