We have a permanent full-time Service Manager opportunity based in Whangārei, leading our Corks Service in Tikipunga and Kotuku Service in Woodhill. These Level 4 residential mental health supported accommodation services provide a safe and supportive environment for people on their recovery journey. This role is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and performance of both services and participates in an on-call roster shared with other Service Managers.

You will:

  • Build strong partnerships with whānau, community agencies, and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee staffing, rostering, property, resource, and budget activities within allocated parameters.
  • Manage recruitment, performance development, and workforce planning processes.
  • Respond to incidents, feedback, and operational issues to support safe and effective service delivery.

You are a confident and approachable leader who enjoys supporting others to succeed. You bring a collaborative and people-focused approach, value culturally responsive practice, and are committed to achieving positive outcomes for the people and communities we serve. You thrive in a dynamic environment, build trusted relationships, and lead with integrity, accountability, and respect.

You will bring:
  • Full registration and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) under the HPCA Act 2003 (for example, Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or AOD Clinician).
  • Experience in management and/or leadership roles.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in mental health and addictions.
  • The ability to engage and maintain effective working relationships with clinical teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Join a values-led organisation where your leadership can make a meaningful difference every day.

We offer:
  • Salary range of $82,550.59 - $93,074.43 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Access to extensive wellbeing support, including counselling, budgeting advice, coaching services, and mental health workshops to support your hauora (wellbeing) and personal growth.
  • Staff discounts with Southern Cross Health, PB Tech, Harvey Norman, Anytime Fitness, and more.
  • Generous leave entitlements, including wellbeing leave, cultural leave, and study leave where applicable.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
