CHEP helps move more goods to more people, in more places than any other organization on earth via our 347 million pallets, crates and containers. We employ approximately 13,000 people and operate in 60 countries. Through our pioneering and sustainable share-and-reuse business model, the world’s biggest brands trust us to help them transport their goods more efficiently, safely and with less environmental impact. What does that mean for you? You’ll be at the frontline of CHEP in a busy, demanding job. Our supply chain team isn’t part of our business. It’s the heart of our business. And you can be the power behind it. We connect 300,000 supply chains for some of the world’s biggest and best-loved brands. You’ll learn new ways of working, with automation and new technology that’ll help you get the job done – and work smarter. Your safety is our number one priority. The team will welcome and respect you for who you are and will support you throughout your journey of growth and accomplishment. In return, we want you to be hands‑on, roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.

The Role

We’re looking for a versatile and proactive Dispatch & Administration Coordinator to join our team on day shift. This is a varied role that combines administration, dispatch coordination and operational support within a small team. You’ll play an important part in keeping the site running smoothly by supporting dispatch activities, maintaining administrative systems and assisting with bin washing operations when required, using a high pressure hose. Working closely with the Supervisor, you’ll help coordinate inbound and outbound stock return and dispatch, provide excellent service to drivers and customers and maintain administrative processes. No two days are the same, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, learning new skills and is happy to flex from administrative to manual operational tasks, while being part of a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate dispatch activities and inbound receipt of product
  • Provide support to drivers, customers and transport providers
  • Assist with inventory management and investigation of product gains and losses
  • Complete administrative tasks including system updates, filing and maintaining training records
  • Use systems such as SAP and MEX to support operational activities
  • Perform bin washing operations when customer orders require it
  • Work with other team members to ensure smooth site operations
  • Contribute ideas and support continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience Required
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience with SAP, MEX or other ERP systems is advantageous
  • Willingness and ability to learn new systems
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Able to build positive relationships with drivers, customers and colleagues
  • Able to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy in record keeping and data entry
  • Ability to follow processes and maintain compliance requirements
  • Positive attitude and good sense of humour
  • Willing to support different areas of the operation as required
  • Collaborative approach with a focus on helping the team succeed
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice criminal history check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
  • Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand (please note we are unable to sponsor applicants at this time)
Our Offering
  • Full training and development provided Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm
  • Friendly, inclusive and supportive team environment
  • Excellent site facilities
  • In addition to annual leave, enjoy 3 extra days of paid Volunteer Leave (which can also be used for children's school trips and camps)
  • Discounted health insurance premiums
  • Opportunity to purchase company shares
  • Be part of a global organisation focused on sustainability and circular supply chains
