Job summary

Watercare is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer for water treatment in Auckland. You will develop the AMP and lead planning for headworks and treatment facilities, aligning with strategy and schedules.

Collaboration with a skilled team will be essential to deliver technical investigations and studies that support our asset management goals. The role requires a degree in engineering, 6+ years in infrastructure planning, and solid water operations knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemical, civil/environmental, mechanical or process engineering.
• 6+ years relevant experience in infrastructure planning.
• Water operations experience.
• Headworks and water/wastewater treatment design experience.
• Knowledge of water treatment technologies.
• Master planning or asset management experience.
• Analytical mind with ability to challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Asset Management Plan (AMP) and deliver to schedule.
• Carry out technical investigations and studies to support AMP.
• Deliver pre-feasibility phases of project lifecycle planning.
• Provide input into feasibility phases and ensure delivery meets expectations.
