Job summary

Watercare Services Limited seeks an experienced Asset Management Planner to drive AMP development for headworks and water treatment facilities. You will conduct technical investigations, schedule AMP deliverables, and support feasibility studies to align with service expectations.

You will bring 6+ years in infrastructure planning or water utilities, a strong engineering background, and a collaborative mindset to partner with stakeholders and mana whenua to deliver resilient assets for

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related field with experience in water infrastructure planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities applied to asset management.

Responsibilities

• Develop headworks and water treatment facility plans and drive AMP delivery to schedule.
• Perform technical investigations to support AMP development.
• Deliver pre-feasibility phases of lifecycle planning and ensure schedules.
• Provide input into feasibility phases of projects.
• Ensure infrastructure/service delivery meets expectations for stakeholders.

At Watercare, you will be involved in contributing to the future of Auckland’s infrastructure and making a real difference! Reporting to the Team Lead – Water Treatment Planning, the focus of this role is to drive and develop the Asset Management Plan (AMP) based on the expectations of our servicing strategies, water treatment and networks performance, and responding to change as required. This will involve:

• Developing our headworks and water treatment facility plans, supporting and helping to drive the delivery of the AMP to schedule
• Carrying out technical investigations and studies, to build the AMP with confidence
• Delivering the pre-feasibility phases of our project lifecycle planning activities and ensuring we are running to schedule
• Providing technical support and input into the feasibility phases of our project lifecycle.
• Ensuring we are delivering infrastructure/service delivery outcomes that meet our business, community, mana whenua, stakeholder and operational expectations.

• Degree qualified (likely chemical, civil/environmental, mechanical or process engineering)
• 6+ years relevant experience, including working in infrastructure planning
• Water operations experience
• Headworks and water/wastewater treatment design experience
• A working knowledge of water treatment technologies
• Master planning or asset management experience
• An analytical mind who can think laterally and challenge the status quo.
