Job summary

Watercare Services Limited in Auckland seeks an experienced Senior Modeller – Water Networks to help shape Auckland’s water system. You’ll lead hydraulic modelling, support planning and major infrastructure investment, and translate complex outputs into actionable recommendations.

You’ll work across planning, development, operations and capital delivery with internal teams and partners, ensuring fit-for-purpose models and timely investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years’ hydraulic modelling experience in water networks.
• Proficiency in InfoWorks WS Pro and network analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Collaborative approach with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Undertake hydraulic modelling assessments for water network and servicing plans.
• Review, validate and audit hydraulic models for fitness-for-purpose.
• Develop and assess modelling scenarios covering growth and operations.
• Provide modelling input into feasibility studies and project delivery.
• Support planning for Auckland’s growth through capacity assessments and consents.
• Contribute to servicing plans and Asset Management Plan inputs.
• Collaborate with internal teams, developers and consultants.
