Job summary

Mott MacDonald Group in Auckland is seeking a Hydraulic Modeller to support water and wastewater networks. You’ll develop and refine hydraulic models and contribute to master planning and infrastructure development.

You'll work with InfoWorks, EPANET, MIKE+, ArcGIS, and QGIS, collaborate across national teams, and communicate insights clearly to clients. This role emphasizes learning, excellence, and meaningful community impact.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering, Science, Geography, or a related field.
• Experience (minimum 2 years) in water / wastewater network planning and hydraulic modelling.
• Strong analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to hydraulic modelling and network planning projects across water and / or wastewater systems
• Develop and refine models to support strategic master planning and infrastructure development
• Apply your knowledge in software platforms such as InfoWorks WS Pro, EPANET, InfoWorks ICM, DHI MIKE+, ArcGIS, and QGIS
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Auckland, Wellington, and nationally
• Communicate insights and solutions clearly to clients and stakeholders
• Learn from team members and contribute to a culture of learning and excellence
