Job summary

Tiaki Wai is seeking a Senior Modeller Wastewater in a Petone-based role with Wellington access. You will develop, maintain and operate wastewater hydraulic models, advising on infrastructure projects and overseeing modelling consultants.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years' wastewater modelling experience, strong data analytics, and the ability to influence and communicate complex technical information clearly.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or science.
• 10+ years' experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling.
• Modelling project management experience.
• Continuous improvement mindset with data analytics skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to simplify complex information.
• Experience coaching/mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice to network operations, planning, engineering, and asset management teams.
• Conduct peer reviews of outsourced model build projects and master planning studies.
• Support strategic network planning and development control.
• Support modelling insights and operational delivery across the organisation.
• Project manage external model build contracts.
