BNZ is seeking a Senior Manager – Third Party Governance in Auckland. You will lead governance across the third‑party lifecycle, partnering with procurement, risk, and contract owners to ensure compliance and resilience. The role emphasizes data‑driven oversight and regulator‑driven frameworks.

You will influence senior stakeholders, navigate a fast‑paced environment, and contribute to BNZ's risk posture and regulatory readiness while supporting a dynamic team culture.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience of corporate governance, third party risk management, procurement or legal in a corporate environment.
• Direct involvement in overseeing policies, frameworks and compliance activities in a regulated industry.
• Excellent senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Exceptional communication skills with experience drafting executive and board level documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise across policies, systems, processes and tools for the third‑party lifecycle, including procurement and third‑party risk.
• Embed third party performance management across material contracts and support Contract Owners to understand requirements.
• Approve regulatory impacting third party contracts, ensuring governance compliance and accurate BS11 Compendium of outsourced arrangements.
• Prepare third party frameworks for emerging regulatory requirements including the DTA and Modern Slavery legislation.
• Use data and insights to monitor effectiveness and provide oversight of third‑party risk and procurement processes, policy and standards.
