Job summary

Westpac New Zealand Ltd is seeking an experienced risk professional to strengthen operational resilience and third‑party risk management within Shared Services. You will partner with stakeholders to investigate issues, drive improvements, and embed robust governance across the function.

The role requires commercial thinking, analytical problem solving, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast‑paced banking environment. Auckland preferred, NZ travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational resilience, third‑party or supplier risk, governance, compliance, operational risk, or business improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise across third‑party risk, governance, and operational resilience.
• Support risk reviews, investigations, remediation, and business improvement initiatives.
• Deliver insights and recommendations to strengthen risk management outcomes.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve processes, controls, and ways of working.
• Contribute to strategic projects and continuous improvement across the function.
