Job summary

Deloitte New Zealand seeks a Senior Consultant to join the Technology Strategy & Transformation team in a client-facing advisory capacity, guiding organisations in shaping technology strategies and operating models.

You will work with senior leaders across industries, translating complex tech concepts into practical recommendations and contributing to business-case development, delivery approaches, and value realisation.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years’ experience in consulting, advisory, or professional services, or relevant industry experience with advisory roles.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders (e.g. SLT/Board) to influence technology priorities.
• Understanding of core technology and enterprise architecture concepts and trends (Mobility, Cloud, Digital).
• Knowledge of how technology functions are structured and the services they provide (IT operations, ITIL/ITSM).
• Exposure to ERP/HRIS/FMIS/CRM/BI and related enterprise tech, with ability to assess trade-offs.
• Strong problem-solving, structured approach, and ability to present advice to Steering Committees.

Responsibilities

• Advise executives and senior leaders to design technology strategies aligned to outcomes.
• Design and implement operating models for technology, transformation, and digital functions.
• Gather requirements and perform options analysis for new applications or capabilities.
• Support technology procurement and vendor evaluations, including market assessments.
• Provide enterprise architecture advisory including system rationalisation and scaling for growth.
• Help design transformation programmes with business case development and value realisation.
