Job summary

PwC NZ seeks a Senior Associate to contribute to digital and data transformation engagements, working closely with senior leaders to shape strategies and deliver practical solutions. You will be client-facing from the outset, helping turn strategy into action and delivering value across transformation programs.

You will collaborate across disciplines, develop your consulting capabilities, and gain exposure to strategic conversations with executives and decision-makers in a dynamic NZ market.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ relevant experience in digital transformation, business transformation, consulting, technology or a related field.
• Experience in a consulting environment would be valuable, but we also welcome candidates with relevant industry experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business challenges, think creatively and develop practical solutions.
• An understanding of how digital, data and emerging technologies can help organisations improve performance, innovate and deliver better outcomes.
• The ability to understand client requirements, translate them into practical, high-quality outputs and communicate clearly with business and technical stakeholders.
• Curiosity, adaptability and strong collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute effectively across multidisciplinary digital and data transformation teams.
• Experience in areas such as digital strategy, business analysis, operating model design, process improvement, technology strategy or transformation delivery would be an advantage.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including executives, or contributing to complex programmes of work would also be valuable.

Responsibilities

• Working directly with clients including senior leaders and decision-makers, to understand their business needs, strategic priorities and opportunities for transformation.
• Contributing to high-profile digital strategy, business transformation and technology-enabled change engagements as part of a multidisciplinary consulting team.
• Helping organisations rethink how they operate, improve customer and employee experiences, and make better use of digital and data.
• Supporting the development of client deliverables, recommendations, roadmaps, business cases and transformation plans that turn strategy into action.
• Analysing complex business challenges, bringing fresh perspectives and developing practical, innovative recommendations.
• Supporting workshops, interviews, and working sessions with business and technology stakeholders to explore ideas, build alignment and shape solutions.
• Exploring how emerging technologies, including AI, automation and data, can help clients unlock opportunities and transform the way they work.
• Communicating clearly with clients and team members, including explaining complex ideas and recommendations in a consumable way.
• Working collaboratively across different disciplines and adapting your approach to meet the needs of each engagement.
• Developing your consulting, stakeholder management and delivery capability through hands-on client work, coaching and feedback.
