Job summary
Fusion5 is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer for Managed Services in New Zealand. You will own complex incidents, lead investigations, and design secure, scalable solutions while mentoring engineers and guiding service improvements.
Based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch, you will align with Australian business hours and collaborate with the Australian team on delivery and pre‑sales activities.
Qualifications
- Significant experience delivering Microsoft Modern Work and security solutions in managed services.
- Proven track record owning incidents, changes and risk to resolution.
- Experience mentoring engineers and guiding complex technical work.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of complex incidents, problems, changes and risks as a senior escalation point.
- Lead technical investigations and recovery activities to keep services stable.
- Design and implement secure, scalable, maintainable solutions for customer needs.
- Lead projects, migrations and improvement initiatives end-to-end with risk management.
- Mentor engineers through reviews, knowledge sharing and hands-on guidance.
- Drive root cause analysis to reduce recurring issues and improve outcomes.
- Provide input into planning, estimations and pre-sales workshops with credible recommendations.
