Job summary

Voyage Care in Wellington is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to lead our residential service and enhance the quality of life for the people we support. You will help with day-to-day supervision, shift allocation, and training coordination in a welcoming, supportive team.

DBS checks and safeguarding awareness are required. We value your commitment to care, offering development opportunities and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
• Ideally Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience with individuals requiring enhanced support including distress, mental health, brain injury, autism, and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Allocate shifts and support day-to-day supervision of the service.
• Book in training and induct new colleagues.
• Support with supervision and ordering medication as needed.
• Ensure people we support manage their finances with dignity and independence.

Typical Shifts are: 08:00 - 20:30 working 3 shifts a week including alternate weekends

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service in Wellington. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to‑day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day‑to‑day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and ideally a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism and people who have experienced trauma.
