Job summary

Care on Call's Wellington House team is seeking experienced Residential Support Workers to help clients live independently and with dignity. Availability for a 7-day roster is required, with regular 4 hours across 7 days per week and potential for more hours.

You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily living activities, and follow individual service plans while promoting choice, privacy and safety. A NZ Driver Licence and ability to pass Police Vetting are essential.

Qualifications

• Full New Zealand Driver Licence and reliable transport.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Ability to pass Police Vetting.
• Completed NZQA Level 2 Health and Wellbeing qualification or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support that helps clients live safely, confidently, and as independently as possible.
• Assist clients with personal care, daily living activities, meal preparation, household tasks, and community participation.
• Follow individual service plans while promoting dignity, choice, and independence.
• Build positive relationships with clients, family/whānau, colleagues, and health professionals.
• Monitor wellbeing, maintain accurate documentation, and report any changes, risks, incidents, or concerns.
• Follow organisational policies, health and safety requirements, and the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights.
• Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training or experience is ideal but not essential.
