Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its fully remote engineering team in New Zealand. You will lead design and analysis for commercial, residential, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with NZBC and international codes while working from a home office.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Civil/Structural Engineering, registered Pr.Eng with ECSA, 8+ years of experience, and proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, and Revit Structure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in structural engineering for building design.
• Masters in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Experience with ETABS and SAP2000; Revit Structure desirable.
• Strong remote collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
• Perform complex analysis using ETABS or SAP2000.
• Develop drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Ensure designs meet codes and safety regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and review designs.
• Collaborate with architects and project managers remotely.
• Manage project documentation and timely delivery.
• Stay updated on seismic design and retrofit techniques.
• Participate in virtual client meetings.
