Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly competent Structural Civil Engineer to join a renowned firm in Welkom. You will lead structural analysis, design and oversight for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with SANS and standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s in Civil Engineering (Structural) with Pr.Eng. registration and at least 7 years of hands-on experience. Opportunity to influence major projects within the Free State province.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
Pr.Eng. with ECSA registration is required.
Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in structural design and analysis.
Proficiency in FEA software and structural design codes (e.g., SANS).

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
Develop drawings, specifications, and calculations for construction.
Conduct site inspections to ensure design and safety compliance.
Collaborate with architects, contractors and engineers to meet project goals.
Review existing structures for integrity and remediation needs.
