Job summary

Pak’n Save Papamoa is seeking an Operations Manager to join the senior leadership team, keeping front-of-house operations humming and driving high standards across all departments. This hands-on role reports to the Store Owner and focuses on stock control, supplier management, pricing, displays and customer service with strong emphasis on health and safety.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in fast-paced FMCG supermarket environments.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Hands-on leader who builds team culture and inspires performance.
• FMCG supermarket or fresh food experience is a big bonus.
• Good numeracy and solid admin skills.
• Physically fit for a 7 day operation.

Responsibilities

• Driving day-to-day operational excellence across all departments.
• Continually striving to exceed store standards.
• Coaching and mentoring department managers to lead high-performing teams.
• Ensuring stock control, supplier management, and replenishment activities are collaborative and engaging.
• Supporting the execution of pricing, display, and promotional activities.
• Maintaining a customer-focused service culture by meeting our Fresh As, Sweet As, Cheap As promise.
• Supporting store-wide compliance activities, especially health & safety and food safety.
• Contributing to roster planning and team development across Departments.
