Job summary

Skycity Entertainment Group in Auckland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Squad Tech Lead to drive architectural decisions and technical direction. You will deliver production-grade software in a fast-paced environment and mentor others across squads.

You will work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Cloudflare) and maintain a security-first approach while shaping scalable solutions. Proficiency with AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor is a plus.

Qualifications

You're a highly experienced software engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing technical direction, and helping others succeed.

8+ years' experience delivering software solutions in production environments

Strong software architecture and technical design experience

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Cloudflare

A security-first mindset and commitment to building robust, scalable solutions

Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar technologies
