Job summary

SkyCity is seeking an experienced Solution Architect - Infrastructure & Cloud to join our Architecture team. You will shape technology solutions across initiatives, aligning with architecture principles and SkyCity's strategic direction, reporting to the Head of Solutioning.

You will influence decisions across projects and product teams, collaborating with ICT leaders and vendors to ensure scalable, secure, and future-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Solution Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, or Cloud Architecture roles.
• Strong experience designing enterprise-scale cloud and infrastructure solutions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, with AWS and GCP experience also highly regarded.
• Experience across infrastructure, cloud, networking, virtualization, and enterprise technology platform.
• Experience working in agile delivery environments and supporting complex technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technology, cloud, and infrastructure solutions aligned to roadmaps and architecture principles.
• Lead architecture and solution design activities across projects and product teams.
• Provide expert advice on cloud platforms, infrastructure, architecture patterns, and technology selection.
• Ensure solutions align with security, infrastructure, application, and business architecture requirements.
• Provide thought leadership and mentoring across the wider technology community.

We're looking for aSolution Architect - Infrastructure & Cloud to join our Architecture team and play a pivotal role in shaping technology solutions that support SkyCity's strategic direction and digital evolution. Reporting to the Head of Solutioning, you'll work across projects, product teams, and technology domains to design and guide solutions that align with our architecture principles, roadmaps, and business objectives.

As a trusted architecture leader, you'll provide guidance across cloud, infrastructure, and technology solutions, ensuring platforms and services are fit for purpose, scalable, secure, and aligned with SkyCity's long-term technology strategy. You'll partner closely with product teams, ICT leaders, vendors, and business stakeholders to influence solution design and technology decisions across the organisation.

• Designing end-to-end technology, cloud, and infrastructure solutions aligned to strategic roadmaps and architecture principles
• Leading architecture and solution design activities across projects and product teams
• Providing expert advice on cloud platforms, infrastructure, architecture patterns, and technology selection
• Ensuring solutions align with security, infrastructure, application, and business architecture requirements
• Providing thought leadership and mentoring across the wider technology community

You’ll be a strategic and pragmatic architect who can connect business requirements with technology outcomes and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Significant experience in Solution Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, or Cloud Architecture roles

Strong experience designing enterprise-scale cloud and infrastructure solutions

Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, with AWS and GCP experience also highly regarded

Experience working across infrastructure, cloud, networking, virtualisation, and enterprise technology platform

Experience working in agile delivery environments and supporting complex technology initiatives
