Job summary

EY is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our team as a Snowflake Solution Architect. You will design and build cloud data and AI solutions using Snowflake and related tools, enabling data ingestion, transformation, and data modeling for end users through visualization and NLP interfaces.

In Wellington with options for Auckland or Christchurch, the role may offer reduced hours and flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience implementing Snowflake platforms.
• Data platform solution architecture design patterns.
• Data modelling using a range of methodologies.
• Data engineering and building scalable, robust data pipelines.
• Writing efficient SQL queries and integrating Snowflake with data processing frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake Horizon Catalog.
• Proficiency with Python, Java and Scala.

Responsibilities

• Snowflake solution architecture design.
• Design and build of data pipelines to ingest and transform data.
• Integrate Snowflake with ecosystem toolsets.
• Design scalable, robust data ingestion/transformation pipelines on Snowflake.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data needs into solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay updated with industry trends to keep the team at the data engineering edge.
