Job summary

EY is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our team as a Snowflake Solution Architect. You will design and build cloud data and AI solutions using Snowflake and related tools, enabling data ingestion, transformation, and data modeling for end users through visualization and NLP interfaces.

In Wellington with options for Auckland or Christchurch, the role may offer reduced hours and flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our team as a Snowflake Solution Architect. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of data engineering and integration, with a specific focus on designing and building cloud data and AI solutions using Snowflake and the ecosystem of tools that are part of the wider solution architecture. You will play a crucial role in designing the solution architecture, enabling data ingestion and transformation pipelines, designing data models and data products, and creating user-friendly interfaces that empower users to interact with complex data through data visualization tools and natural language interfaces. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to innovative projects while also providing mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members.

In line with client requirements, the preferred location for this role is in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office, we are also able to consider candidates for other office locations in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) or Ōtautahi (Christchurch) office. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

• A working knowledge of Snowflake Horizon Catalog.
• Proficiency with development languages such as Python, Java, and Scala.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about data challenges.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
• Experience in technical leadership or mentorship roles, guiding junior team members towards success.
