Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Chemical Process Engineer for a global specialty chemicals client. You will design, simulate, and optimize processes across international sites from a home office, delivering projects with autonomy and clear digital collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical Engineering with 7+ years in process design, scale-up, and troubleshooting, proficient in Aspen Plus or HYSYS, and familiar with PFDs and P&IDs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years in chemical process engineering with design, scale-up and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
• Strong knowledge of chemical process safety and risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote process engineering support across global facilities.
• Develop and run process simulations to identify improvements.
• Create and review PFDs and P&IDs.
• Support equipment specifications and process modifications.
• Conduct virtual PHAs and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with international site teams via digital platforms.
• Document changes and project outcomes thoroughly.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and safety regulations.
