Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Remote Process Safety Engineer to bolster safety initiatives across multiple sites, including near Queenstown, New Zealand. You will focus on hazard identification, risk assessment, and the development of robust safety management systems.

You will work independently and collaborate digitally with plant personnel and management to implement and monitor safety protocols, fostering a strong safety culture from a remote location.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field with a safety focus.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in process safety engineering, preferably in chemical industries.
• Knowledge of HAZOP, LOPA and other risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiar with OSHA PSM and relevant safety regulations.
• Strong report writing, communication and remote collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement process safety management programs.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Process Safety Engineer to bolster their safety initiatives across multiple operational sites, including those near Queenstown . This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of process safety are maintained, focusing on hazard identification, risk assessment, and the development of robust safety management systems. You will work independently and collaborate digitally with plant personnel and management to implement and monitor safety protocols, fostering a strong safety culture from a remote location.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP and LOPA studies.
• Develop and implement effective process safety management (PSM) programs.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Provide expertise on safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Develop and deliver process safety training modules to relevant personnel.
• Audit safety systems and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field with a focus on safety.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process safety engineering, preferably in the chemical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of HAZOP , LOPA, and other risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards (e.g., OSHA PSM).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
