Job summary

Higgins is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the PKH Wind Farm project in the Dunedin region. This site-based role offers a pivotal commercial position within a major infra project advancing New Zealand's renewable energy goals.

You will lead cost management, procurement, contract administration, and risk management across a large work package, collaborating with a high-performing project team to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 10+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role on large civil, construction, infrastructure or energy projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge.
• Experience in procurement and subcontractor management.

Responsibilities

• Managing project budgets, forecasting, cash flow, cost reporting, and margin performance.
• Administering head contract and subcontract commercial requirements.
• Preparing and managing progress claims, variations, notices, and final accounts.
• Leading procurement activities, including subcontractor and supplier engagement.
• Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risks.
• Supporting accurate month-end reporting and project financial performance.
• Building relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Providing commercial leadership and mentoring within the project team.
• Ensuring commercial activities align with quality, safety, and delivery objectives.
