Job summary

Higgins in Waikato seeks a Senior Project Manager with strong road stabilisation experience to lead delivery across projects from planning to completion. You will manage multiple crews, oversee programme, cost, quality and risk, and mentor Project Managers and site teams on a portfolio that includes high-value contracts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering road stabilisation projects within civil construction (NZ/region preferred).
• Experience managing multiple stabilising crews or operations.
• Strong commercial capability, including pricing projects valued at NZ$10M+.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with strong experience in road stabilisation to join our Waikato team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of stabilising projects across all stages, from planning through to completion
• Manage multiple operations while ensuring consistent, high-quality results
• Oversee programme, cost, quality, and risk across your portfolio
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to Project Managers and site teams
• Manage contracts, pricing, and commercial performance, including leading negotiations where required
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Champion a strong health and safety culture, with a focus on prevention
