Job summary

Higgins in Hamilton is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead the planning, design and delivery of temporary traffic management solutions across multiple projects. You will coordinate with project teams, clients and authorities to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

The role requires tertiary qualification in engineering or related field and at least five years in construction/traffic management, with strong knowledge of NZ standards and project delivery methodologies.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Traffic Management, Project Management, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least five years' experience on construction, infrastructure, roading or traffic management projects.
• Proven experience preparing TMPs and working with approval authorities and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of NZ traffic management standards, project delivery and construction methodologies.

• Coordinate approvals with Road Controlling Authorities, councils and other stakeholders

• Drive strong safety, quality and compliance outcomes across all traffic management activities

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Traffic Division in Hamilton.

Working across a range of infrastructure, roading and construction projects, you'll lead the planning, design and delivery of temporary traffic management solutions that keep projects moving safely, efficiently and on schedule. You'll work closely with project teams, clients, approval authorities and operational crews to ensure quality outcomes from planning through to delivery.

What You'll Bring to the Role
