Job summary

Redpath Partners is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Auckland to oversee a portfolio of technically demanding projects, coordinating with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful outcomes.

This role combines senior project leadership with client relationship management, commercial oversight and broader growth contributions within a unique hybrid consultancy and delivery model.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project management consultancy and contractor delivery in NZ.
• Proven experience as Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• Strong track record delivering complex, technically demanding vertical construction projects.
• Ability to lead projects through full lifecycle and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through feasibility, design, procurement and construction delivery.
• Act as senior client representative and trusted advisor.
• Provide strategic direction across programmes, cost, procurement and delivery.
• Mentor Project Managers and project teams.
• Manage consultant, subcontractor and stakeholder relationships.
• Provide technical and commercial oversight across delivery.
• Identify and manage risks and program outcomes.
• Shape growth and strategic direction of the organisation.

Role

This role will provide oversight across a portfolio of technically demanding projects, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and the wider leadership team to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role will combine project leadership with client relationship management, commercial oversight and broader contribution to business growth.

The responsibilities of the role will include:

• Leading projects through the full project lifecycle from feasibility and design through procurement and construction delivery
• Acting as a senior client representative and trusted advisor
• Providing strategic direction across project programmes, cost, procurement and delivery
• Leading and mentoring Project Managers and wider project teams
• Managing key consultant, subcontractors and stakeholder relationships
• Providing technical and commercial oversight across project delivery
• Identifying and managing project risks, programme and commercial outcomes
• Playing a key role in the future growth and strategic direction of the organisation

Requirements

Suitable candidates will have the following experience:

• Significant experience within ideally both a project management consultancy and contractor delivery environment in NZ
• Proven experience operating at Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level
• Strong track record delivering complex, technically demanding vertical construction projects
• Experience leading projects through the full project lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, clients and stakeholders at a senior level
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of project procurement, contracts, cost and programme management
• Proven leadership capability, including the ability to mentor and develop project teams
